Let me introduce some of the staffs below (sayang....no technicians >_<)


From left,

1st - Ms SSM jie jie~ marketing executive. kanojio wa bijin desu yo ^^ (tell a secret : she is still SINGLE & AVAILABLE, fast fast grab chance!! XD)

2nd - Mr CCH kor kor~ marketing executive. handsome guy (按着良心) =P a game maniac

3rd - Ms Ong (same family name with me =P) admin ~2 kids' mom~

4th - dono who's that ~

5th - Mr TPL ~ Assistant Business Development Manager (what a long post name) a terrorist good, nice manager

6th - En Wadi ~ Branch Operations Executive ~ my supervisor ~ an ex military o_O

No more 打卡打卡

My industrial training has officially ended ~~~~ whee ~~~~ no more early wakey and rush for punching card ~~ (Background music : 睡眼惺忪九點鐘　記得起身返工.....打卡打卡打記得打卡)

Time does really fly ~~ in the twinkling of an eye, 2 months training passed....

To all the staffs in NLC Alor Setar :

and thanks Ms Ong the admin and Ms SSM auntie Jie Jie for so gambatte wana be my 媒人 XD

once a while we go yam cha together again la ~~ ehehehe

(PS: ms SSM, yam cha can liao, i dont wan play badminton xP)

Garden termite

On Thursday, I got the opportunity to see how a termite mound looked like. A service was required to destroy the garden termite mound found in one customer's garden. I've followed my supervisor and technician to go there and I just stood beside and 'watched the show' =P

The garden termites were belonged to the Macrotermes sp. My supervisor managed to find the centre of the nest and found the queen of the termite~~ Once the queen was eliminated, the colony of the termites were considered destroyed. The technician then sprayed the mound with chemical pesticide to kill the rest of the termites.

My supervisor asked me to hold the queen first @,@



The queen was preserved inside alcohol in the end =.=

Ants as pest

Ant is consider as a pest. They're included in the pest control service to be eliminated. Generally, there are 2 methods in controlling ants. 1st, pesticide spraying~~ However, this is not a good method as the chemical is toxic. Moreover, spraying may lead to budding of ants (build another new colony and result in.........more ants =.=ll) So....2nd method is better, that is, ant baiting. The ant poison is added to the attractor(food) to attract the ants to come and eat. The attractor might be something sweet like sugar or protein. After the ants bring the food back to their nest, they'll feed other ants through the process of trophallaxis* and this will kill all the colony.

* Definition from Wikipedia : Trophallaxis is the transfer of food or other fluids among members of a community through mouth-to-mouth (stomodeal) or anus-to-mouth (proctodeal) feeding. It is most highly developed in social insects such as ants, termites, wasps and bees. =)

This is what the technicians teach me today about the bait :

Biasanya kita pakai racun campur dengan madu.
Kalau semut tak makan madu, kita pakai peanut.

Kalau tak makan peanut, kita pakai susu.

Kalau tak minum susu, kita pakai spray.

Kalau tak boleh spray, kita pakai KAKI.

Kalau kaki tak sampai, kita guna............API (saying with very evil smile)

Macam tu semua benda pun akan habis, tak de semut, tak de lipas, tak de tikus ~~ semua pun tak de lagi~~~~ LOL!!! XD

Internship

Phew~~ my internship started on 4th May. Really tiring -__-"

I'm now currently an intern in NLC General Pest Control Sdn. Bhd. (i guess most of the people never heard of that company name). Well, as it's stated in the name, it's a company about pest control. They deal with all sort of pests like termites, ants, cockroaches, fleas, ticks~~~ and bla bla bla~~

Generally there are 2 departments that i'll follow : marketing and techinical. I prefer to follow the marketing people ~~hehe~~cuz the technician are all malay guys.......(and sit shabby van T.T) If you ask me what'll I do during the internship for now, I would say "nothing". Most of the time I just follow the technicians' backside, watching them do the works~ haha~ cuz the technical part need professional skill to do it and I'm not pro enough =P

Training in the company, I get the chance to see the real method of controlling the pests, like chemical spraying, fogging, baiting technique ~ and it's quite interesting also~ but sometimes feel boring cuz nothing to do. hehe~~ However, it's tiring as you have to run here and there, follow the technicians...sometimes even have to work under hot sun!! T.T
